A Real Cincinnati Fan Club

i HEART cincinnati

Cincinnati is in bad need of some civic spirit. I propose formation of a City of Cincinnati fan club, a simple boosters organization whose sole purpose is to promote and encourage civic pride in our Queen City! But that’s as far as I got with the idea. A cool website that sells merchandise would be a start. We would need a lot of designs and logos.

They already have a store for us! The I Love Cincinnati Shoppe in Tower Place downtown has the right idea, but needs to work on promotion, presentation, and most definitely merchandise.(The purely Cincinnati merchandise, excluding the sports paraphanelia, leaves much to be desired.)

I Love Cincy Shoppe

As for a name for this group, at last check the following domains are still available.

http://www.ilovecincinnati.com (UPDATE! already taken!)
http://www.cincinnatiboosters.com
http://www.cincyholics.com (my favorite)

  • dude, you live in kentucky

  • I can’t see the forest for the trees.
But I walked past the I Love Cincinnati Shoppe and it’s empty. It must have happened some time over the last 2-3 weeks.

  • I live in greater cincinnati, thank you. actually, i live closer to cincinnati than most ohioans. at least i can see the city. so psssh..

  • Sounds like you want one of those cans of chili, ex-pat. If only I knew of a graphic designer with lots of time on her hands…

  • Ha! I’ll assume your tongue is in your cheek. No books like that. They have a lot of books on UK basketball though.

  • I’m new to the ‘Nasty and have been looking for a place to get Cincinnati gear. Do you think they have books that showcase Cincinnati’s rich history of civil unrest?

  • There already is an Cincinnati Fan Club.

    It is http://www.urbanohio.com …Seriously

  • BTW, http://www.ilovecincinnati.com has been taken for years. I looked up that site when I was looking for domains.

  • Hmph. So it is. I could’ve sworn it was free when I checked it, but it sure isn’t anymore.

  • Downtown Cincy is doomed by the danger signals sent, whether real or imagined, by teenaged black males ambling around in gangster garb. Talking loud on cell phones for no apparent reason.

  • The I Love Cincinnati Shoppe is still in business. It was the Cincy Shop that closed down, a seperate business with a seperate owner. The I Love Cincinnati Shoppe can still be found on the 2nd floor of the Carew Tower.

  • there is a group called imagine cincinnati….don’t know the website, but they seem to be like a cincinnati fan club. I think it’s two girls that run the whole thing…they seem to be working pretty hard to promote the ‘nati….maybe they could help.

  • two chicks at the same time!!

  • My friend Cassie and I started a nonprofit organization called Imagine Cincinnati. We are working on the issues you are talking about. We have ran into obstacle after obstacle but we are not going to give up.
