All Aboard The Anderson Ferry!

For some reason, I always want to call the Anderson Ferry the Harper’s Ferry. …Cool boat to get across the Ohio river… first battle of the Civil War… you can see my confusion. In any case, I hadn’t ridden the ferry in a while, so I took my camera out for a drive one sunny afternoon. Which suddenly became a dreary rainy afternoon - damn you Cincinnati springtime weather!

Trivia: For high school prom, I took my date to out to dinner at the Fore & Aft, and crossed the Anderson Ferry to get there. At the Fore & Aft, I impressed my date when I used an Entertainment Book coupon for dinner. I believe the Fore & Aft has since sank.

More at the Anderson Ferry.

Waiting for the ferry to come back.

That’s a rough approach to the ferry. Just kidding, that’s one of the spares ferries parked in the ferry lot.

The view at river level…

Accckkk, pirates!

View from the rear of the boat, hindered by the unnecessarily big truck.

The other shore is in sight.
