Dante’s Gypsy Circus

I first saw the fire-breathing antics of Dante’s Gypsy Circus at the Northside Rock & Roll Carnival and 4th of July Parade and Festival at Hoffner Park last year (where I also saw the Pickled Brothers sideshow and pigged out on gyros – that was a fun night). I saw them again recently marching in the Opening Day parade with the Queen City Zapatistas.

You can find their schedule on their website – they’ll be performing at Scorched Nuts in June. In the mean time, here is a video from their YouTube channel.

  • Hi – I’m a performer with Dante’s Gypsy Circus. Thanks for the post! We will be at the 2008 Rock N Roll Carnival in Northside, but this is our first year at this event. Come over and say hello – we’ll be dancing the evening of July 4.
    Peace,
    Cherie Dawn

  • @Cherie

I stand corrected! I thought it was Dante’s Gypsy Circus at last year’s Rock N Roll carnival, but it must have been another fire-wielding and breathing troupe. I wonder who it was now?

  • Thanks for the post! We will be at the Loveland Castle the week before Scorched nuts too! We have lots of fun gigs coming up! Check out the website :)

  • Hey! A little late on this I see, but better late than never…er…maybe? haha

Anyways, the Rock N Roll Carnival is always a fun time, especially since they welcome your not-so-typical performances like fire troupes and side shows! :)

Speaking of which, I would like to add that this “mystery fire troupe” who performed at that first annual Rock N Roll Carnival in 2007 was actually my fire troupe, Incendium Arts (incendiumarts.com). We also performed this year’s Carnival as well on the evening of July 3rd!! We’ll be back for 2009 for sure, and hopefully Dante’s Gypsy Circus will join in on the fun again, too!
