Think… Rocky Horror Meets Blade Runner.
I’m a little late on this one. In fact, I’m so late this post will probably be of no use to anyone, but maybe someone will see it.
REPO! The Genetic Opera is playing tonight Jan. 18 – and tonight only – at the Esquire Theatre in Clifton. There will be two showings – one at 9 pm and one at midnight. Online tickets appear to be sold out, but tickets may be available at the door. Attending the event will be Darren Lynn Bousman (the director) and Terrance Zdunich (co-composer and actor). There will be two showings of the movie- one at 9pm and one at Midnight- for one night only!
About the film:
In the not-so-distant future, an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GENECO, a biotech company that offers organ transplants… for a price. THose who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous ORGAN REPO MEN.
In a future where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for information about her family’s mysterious past and the cure to her own rare disease. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo’s GENETIC OPERA, shw won’t turn back until she finds what she’s looking for.
Watch the trailer.

Whoa, I didn’t know Giles was in this movie! Now I really regret missing it.
Though on the other hand, if it’s as cheesy as it’s supposed to be, it might be better on DVD because then you and a friend can make jokes about it without catching heat from others in the audience.
BTW, I added you to my blogroll at http://oddcincy.wordpress.com/ .

Why was I not surprised to see the Lionsgate logo after reading the plot description ?
