Make Cincinnati Weird was modeled after the original Keep Austin Weird and similar campaigns. Our single, guiding principle is that diversity of opinion breeds strength. As James Surowiecki put it in The Wisdom Of Crowds,
…groups that are too much alike find it harder to keep learning, because each member is bringing less and less new information to the table. Homogeneous groups are great at doing what they do well, but they become progressively less able to investigate alternatives.
As a corollary, we believe that locally and independently owned businesses are a great deal of what makes our Queen City unique, and are in a fight against the grand homogenization of our country. They deserve our bias.

Lamer Disclaimer: Creativity is good. Destroying other people’s stuff or getting people hurt is just lame. If you can’t figure out how to shake things up without costing other people money & time to clean up your mess go somewhere else. That’s not weird. It just sucks.
And finally, banners!
