Segway Of Ohio conducts 90-minute tours around Eden Park on their unique two-wheeled transportation devices. Have fun tooling around the park while learning from an experienced guide.

Much appreciation should go to the city Park Board.

Cincinnati Park Board Director Willie F. Carden Jr., whom I’ve noticed likes to innovate in order to make things better, gave Jenkins the go ahead to roam Segway-mounted through the city’s parks. He also provided a closet to put them in at Eden Park, with an electrical outlet to charge them. For free.

Jerry Gels and his cohort have put together one of the more original attractions in the region. A presentation and walking tour of Newport, KY, once the real sin city of America.

Rising from the profits of bootlegging, Newport would quickly grow to become the premier gaming destination in the US. Walk the streets where gangsters made their millions, gamblers lost their lives, and ladies of the night earned their living. See the buildings that housed casinos, brothels, and speakeasies. Explore Newport’s connection to some of the most well known crime figures in our country’s history, and discover the individuals who gave the town its infamous reputation.

Ride The Ducks

Newport joins the likes of Boston, Seattle, Baltimore, and San Francisco by becoming the eighth U.S. location to offer Ride The Ducks tours, a unique and fun – but also educational – sightseeing tour. These boat-shaped cars… er, car-shaped boats… er, boat-shaped cars can travel on land and water, providing a unique tour route never offered before in this area. Like the official website says, you can laugh and learn by land! And you can laugh and learn by sea! What a country!

Aquarium owner Herschend Family Entertainment has opened Ride the Ducks Newport, a 40-minute tour that includes 25 to 30 minutes on the Ohio River, with a land circuit of the Great American Ball Park, Paul Brown Stadium, the aquarium, the World Peace Bell, and the historic homes on Covington’s Riverside Drive.

Tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for children and are available from a kiosk located outside of the aquarium.

I saw some a tour leaving the station the other day on the way to a movie. It would be ideal for out-of-town guests, but I can’t wait to try it out for myself.
